The Boston Braves F.C was the evolution of concepts, ideas and events that date back to Nov. 3rd, 2000. At that time
a visit to Boston by the Bristol, England based senior's football club, the MooMoos F.C., inspired Spiros Tourkakis to the original idea of a seniors' Football Tournament in Athens, Greece. In the beginning of 2001 he started putting together 
a team to participate in that event as well as attracting other teams. Since the response and interest were very positive the Tournament was expanded to include some of the well known teams from Southeast Europe.
Thus the First International Friendship Tournament of Football Veterans in Athens, Greece was created.

 
2001 Summer:
A team has been put together and is ready to travel to Greece to participate in  the Tournament

2001 September: 
The 9/11 events occur. Most of the team quits travelling.

2001:September: 
A new team is put together to travel. The team is named Boston Braves in honoring those who decided to travel. 

2001 October:
 
The Tournament takes places in Athens with great success. The participant teams include: Panathinaikos, Olympiakos, AEK, Panionios, etc...

2001 November:
  
The Boston Braves are invited to the Island of Cyprus and Greece

2002 February:
 
First contact with Manchester United Veterans

2002 July:
  
The Boston Braves are invited to Manchester by the Manchester United Veterans Organization

2002 October:
  
The Boston Braves visit Cyprus. They participate in tournaments in the cities of Limassol and Nicosia.

2002  October:
  
The Boston Braves visit Greece:
On Oct 23rd they play at Historic Sparta with the host team of Sparta Veterans.
A strong friendship is established between the two clubs.
On Oct 26th they are hosted in Athens by the Panathinaikos Veterans and the game and events  solidified the great relationship between the two Clubs.


2003 March:
   
Manchester United Veterans host the Boston Braves with some memorable moments of Football and fun. 
Boston Braves become the first and only Veteran Club ever to be hosted by the Manchester United Veterans
at Old Trafford.


2003 March:
   
First contact takes place with Real Madrid Veterans and F.C. Barcelona Veterans.

2003  August:  
The Boston Braves F.C. name is adopted. The plan for the trip to Spain is laid out.

2003 October: 
The Boston Braves F.C. visit Spain:
-On Oct 22nd, it is hosted by and play with F.C. Barcelona Veterans at Nou Camp. 
-On Oct 24th it is hosted by and play with Real Madrid Veterans.
Declarations of Friendship are signed with both Clubs establishing strong relationships and the desire to work together towards issues of International Football Veterans.


2004 February:  
Initial contact takes place with the Ajax Veterans 

2004  March:  
The Boston Braves F.C. is invited to Amsterdam, Holland by the Ajax Veterans Club.

2004  April:  
The Manchester United Veterans invite the Boston Braves F.C. back to Manchester for a reunion between the two Clubs.   

2004 May:
The Russian Football Union invites Boston Braves F.C. to Moscow. The Braves are the first ever
Veteran Footbal Club from America that receives such an invitation. 
 

2004 August
The Boston Braves F.C. participate in the International Football Tournament in Halifax, Canada. It is the Braves first activity in this country

2004 September
The Braves visit Moscow upon the invitation of the Russian Football Union. Games with Dynamo and CSKA Veterans take place. A strong friendship is forged.
Ajax is hosting the Boston Braves F.C. in Amsterdam. This memorable event is capped by a friendly game between the two teams and solid relationship among their members.


2004 October
Initial contact takes place with the Brasilian Football Organizations.

2004 December
Brazil’s Champion team, Santos F.C. and Botafogo Regatas invite the Braves to Brazil. The Boston Braves F.C. is the first ever Veteran team from the North America to be extended such an invitation.

2005 March
The Boston Braves F.C. visit Santos and play a memorable game against the Santos Veterans at their famous Stadium where Pele scored most of his goals. This rare event takes place just before the Santos-America game for the Brazilian League. Then the Braves visit Rio de Janeiro where they are hosted by Botafogo Regatas Veterans becoming the first
ever North America team doing so in the country of the "beautiful game".

2005 August
The Historic and Islands of Rhodes and Crete (Greece) are the next stops for the Braves. In Rhodes they participate in the International Soccer Tournament the City organizes in their honor. In Crete they face the Island's dominant team, OFH of Crete, which afterwards they invite to Boston.

2006 March
For the first time ever Mexico City hosts the Braves. Club de Futbol America and Cruz Azul are the next working partners of the Braves and games are played with both these well known Clubs.

2006 August
Contact is established with the well known teams of F.C. Bayern Munich and Hamburger S.V. The Braves are invited to Germany.

2006 October
A.S. Monaco is hosting the Braves in a historic event in the luxurious Principality of Monaco. The visit of the Braves is here too a first for a North American Club.

2007 March
The Braves are invited and are hosted by Belgium's Champion Club RCA Anderlecht in Europe's capital city of Brussels.

2007 June
The Braves are hosting in Boston the National Veteran Team of Israel.

2007 September
The Braves visit Hamburg and Munich, Germany. Great realationships are established and games are played with the Veteran teams of F.C. Bayern Munich and Hamburger SV. Braves's management is the guest of honor at Allianz Arena.

2007 October
Braves F.C. accepts the long standing invitation by Manchester United for a reunion of the two Veterans Clubs.

2008 January:
A friendly relationship is established with Chelsea F.C.'s Veterans.
The Chelsea Old Boys invite the Braves to London. After a long wait time Liverpool F.C. Veterans meet with Braves' Management. Their invitation to visit the City of Liverpool is accepted and plans are made. At the same time
Braves meet Manchester City F.C. Veterans and arrangements are made for a match between the Veterans of the two Clubs.

2008 March:
The Boston Braves F.C. execute a Historic trip to England. That includes
- A reunion with the Senior Management of Manchester United Veterans
- A strong Friendship and a Friendly Match with Chelsea's Old Boys
- A visit to Historic Liverpool and a Friendly match with Liverpool Veterans The Braves are guests of Liverpool's   Management at Historic Anfield
- A meeting and a Friendly Match with the Manchester City Veterans

Initial contact takes place with Juventus F.C.

2008 June:
Formal visit and meeting with Juventus' Management. The Braves are invited to Italy. The plan is laid out for their Fall 2008 visit.

2008 July:
Initial contact is made with Football Veterans in Argentina.

2008 August:
The Boston Braves F.C. is invited to Buenos Aires by Boca Juniors and River Plate.

2008 October:
Historic trip to Italy takes place.
- The Braves are hosted in Torino by and establish a strong Friendship with Juventus F.C. A Friendly match is played   between the Veterans of the two Clubs. The Braves invite Juventus Veterans to Boston.
- A friendly relationship is established with the Veterans of Torino ( Associazione Ex Calciatori Granata ).

January 9th the Braves are to visit Cuba and play two games with the Veterans and Sporting.

2017 Engalnd
